The sellout crowd at Stanford Stadium on Saturday night featured a handful of celebrities, including Eddie George, Oliver Luck, Chris Polk's grandmother, Spock, and Jim Harbaugh. The former Stanford coach and a few of his 49ers assistants, many of whom were on Harbaugh's staff on the Farm, took advantage of the bye week to take in the Cardinal's 65-21 rout of Washington. Harbaugh was asked about it during his weekly teleconference today. Via CSN Bay Area:
Did a few of your coaches make it up to Stanford on Saturday?
"Yeah, I know quite a few did. [Special Teams Coordinator] Brad Seely, [Offensive Coordinator] Greg Roman, [Offensive line coach] Tim Drevno, [Quarterbacks coach] Geep Chryst, myself, there might have been a few others."
What did they report back, anything?
"Well, we all saw the same thing. Stanford is really good, they’re just that much better than everybody that they’re playing. Proud of those guys, they’re doing a great job. They’re making it look easy."
The 49ers haven't exactly made it look easy in Harbaugh's first year at the helm, but they're a surprising 5-1 heading into this week's game against Owen Marecic and the Cleveland Browns.
