Tommy Vardell ran for 182 yards and three touchdowns on 39 carries to lead No. 21 Stanford to a 38-21 win over No. 6 Cal. The Golden Bears were flagged for five personal fouls as part of their 140 penalty yards. "I think 25 years from now they will talk about the 1991 Now Boys and Tommy Vardell," Stanford head coach Denny Green said. "And you know what -- they deserve it."
