Cardinal in the Pros: Sherman Records INT in First Career Start

Here's a quick look at how some of Stanford's former players fared in Week 8:

Oshiomogho Atogwe, FS, Washington

Atogwe had three tackles in the Redskins' dreadful 23-0 loss to Buffalo. Washington may enter the Suck for Luck sweepstakes after all.

Doug Baldwin, WR, Seattle

After disappointing fantasy owners with a 0-point performance in Week 7, Baldwin turned in a decent day with five catches for 73 yards in a loss to the Bengals.

Star-divide

Toby Gerhart, RB, Minnesota

Gerhart had a season-high five carries for 26 yards in a 24-21 win over Carolina.

Owen Marecic, FB, Cleveland

Marecic had one carry for one yard in a 20-10 loss to his former coach Jim Harbaugh and the 49ers.

Evan Moore, TE, Cleveland

Moore had two catches for 17 yards against the 49ers.

Alex Smith, TE, Cleveland

Smith had one catch for 20 yards.

Richard Sherman, CB, Seattle

In his first career start, Sherman had five tackles, three passes defended, and an interception. After the game, he called the Bengals' AJ Green, the first-round draft pick he stepped in front of for his pick, "one of the most overrated receivers out there."

Richard Sherman actually started the week before

Due to an injury, it was the Cleveland game (10/23/2011)

Thanks

I was going by the NFL.com game log. The Seahawks.com writer also said that the Bengals game was Sherman’s first start. In any event, he has his first INT.
