I'm about to hit the road for Norfolk, where Norfolk State fans may still be celebrating the Spartans' shocking the world and busting your bracket, Hampton head coach David Six and the Lady Pirates (their nickname, not mine) are feeling disrespected, and the No. 1 seed Stanford Cardinal are preparing for a fifth straight run to the Final Four.
Destination Denver, baby.
So, Tara VanDerveer, how does it feel to be sent to Norfolk for the first two rounds?
"We're excited to be here. I credit Old Dominion and compliment them for hosting. We really need more sites out in the west but we're excited to be here and have the opportunity to play at a neutral site. I think that's the reward for being a 1-seed."
Translation: Well this sucks. Thanks for nothing, NCAA Selection Committee.
Let's hope Stanford can take out its frustration against the nation's second-ranked scoring defense. I'll be posting updates, including photos, on Twitter throughout the day. Follow me if you don't already by clicking the button below. Go Stanford!
