Josh Garnett Might Join Forces With Andrew Luck

Could Josh Garnett Be Heading To The Colts?

The workouts for the NFL Combine have yet to begin, and already Joshua Garnett is salivating at the chance to play alongside another Stanford great.

In a recent press conference, Garnett admits he is excited about the idea of potentially protecting the Indianapolis Colts Andrew Luck. He was enthusiastic with reporters as he described how he would feel if he got to play alongside the former Cardinal. "He's one of the Stanford greats," Garnett remarked. "He's going to be one of the greats in the NFL. I would definitely relish that opportunity."

The Colts have scheduled interviews with Garnett during the combine. They currently have the 18th overall pick in the draft, and while their offensive line is an area of concern, so is their receiving corps. The Andre Johnson experiment flopped, and many doubt he will be asked to return to the Colts for the 2016-17 season. The odds of Indianapolis selecting Garnett in the 1st round may be slim. One move they could potentially make is trading away their 18th pick for later selections in the draft, and using one of them for Garnett.

Regardless of what the Colts ultimately decide to do with their 1st round draft pick, it's clear that Josh Garnett has caught the attention of scouts across the league. With a solid showing at the combine, he just might make a big jump into the group of the most sought after guards.
