1949 Big Game Program: Cal Clinches Rose Bowl Bid

This is one of my favorite programs to date. The Indians' arrows didn't find their marks in the game, however, as Cal cruised to a 33-14 win to clinch a berth in the Rose Bowl. Stanford finished the season 7-3-1, topped the 40-point mark in five games, and set numerous school records. The team's 2,481 rushing yards that year stood as the Stanford single-season record until 2009.
