A lot of their fans have seemingly finally got it in their heads that not a lot of schools outside the Big 12 like them (although they’re still confused as to why everyone dislikes them). They only had one very influential school on their side, OU, and that relationship is cautious, at best. And it seems many of them had resigned themselves or were actively looking forward to being in the Pac.

It’s their administrators that want the money, even at the expense of souring all other relationships. I love what CougCenter had to say about it:
