Stanford Reserves Shine in Rout of Aggies

Nneka and Chiney Ogwumike did their usual thing but Stanford's 93-44 win over UC Davis tonight was a chance for some unfamiliar faces to shine. Joslyn Tinkle scored a career-high 19 points on 8-for-9 shooting and freshman Bonnie Samuelson scored all 15 of her points on 3-pointers, as the Cardinal (5-1) cruised at Maples Pavilion.

Tinkle added 9 rebounds, while Samuelson, who didn't play in the Cardinal's loss to UConn and played only 1 minute in the win over Xavier, had two steals and two rebounds in 17 minutes against the Aggies. The Ogwumike sisters combined for 38 points and 18 rebounds on 14-for-22 shooting and Stanford shot 55 percent from the field as a team. Toni Kokenis had an off night, missing 6 out of her 7 shots, but it didn't matter against a UC Davis squad that shot only 36 percent and was outrebounded -- if the ESPN box score is to be believed -- 43-13.

Stanford, which won its 66th straight game at Maples Pavilion, led 51-23 at halftime. The Cardinal plays at Fresno State on Sunday.
