WBB: No. 4 Stanford vs. No. 8 UCLA Open Thread

In one of its biggest conference clashes in recent memory, the Stanford women's basketball team hosts UCLA at Maples Pavilion tonight in a top-10 battle between Pac-10 unbeatens.

Under the direction of third-year head coach Nikki Caldwell, a former player and assistant coach at Tennessee, the Bruins (15-1, 5-0 Pac-10) are off to their best start in 35 years. Stanford (14-2, 5-0) is equally hot.

You can listen to the game on KZSU. Look for the men's open thread shortly.

With Stanford at home with a 17-point lead at the half

I’m not expecting much drama in the second half. But we’ll see, as UCLA is pretty decent.

Stanford's not letting up.

The lead balloons to 45-17.

It's over at Maples.

Stanford 64, UCLA 38. I guess that about settles first place in the Pac-10.

It’s criminal that this game wasn’t televised.
