Card Clicks: Stanford Players Rally Around Williamson
Jordan Williamson has plenty of support from his teammates after last night's rough performance. "We trust him," Stanford linebacker A.J. Tarpley said after the freshman kicker missed 3-of-4 field goals, including the game-winner. "We'd put him out there if there was a game tomorrow." | Stanford Football Blog

A running diary of the game from a Cowboys fan. Here's what he wrote about the final minute. "Uh oh, Jeremy Stewart just went for 25 yards to get Stanford within field goal range. Of course they’re going to be trotting out a redshirt freshman who already missed a 41-yarder so "field goal range" right now might be like inside the 10." | Pistols Firing

It's probably time for Jordan Williamson....
….to learn the Alexis Serna story. Life only began for the Oregon State kicker after he missed three extra points at LSU’s Tiger Stadium, including one in overtime that would have kept the Beavers in the game. LSU was the returning BCS champ that season. Serna was the Lou Groza award winner the following season.

I'll never forget...
…watching the highlights of that game on SportsCenter. Almost unfathomable. I had completely forgotten, however, that Serna won the Groza Award the following year. I’ll be rooting like hell for Jordan Williamson next year and beyond.

Like I said in the game thread
Kyle Brotzman is probably just as apt a comparison. Except we aren’t going to villify and send death threats to Williamson when we look back at this season.
