I have always wondered that myself
I think he resents having to pay more attention to Stanford football this season. He doesn’t do a good job being impartial on his aversion to Stanford.

I don't mind him...
… sometimes I think his approach to ranking teams is a bit misguided, but at least he’s consistent. His work on the conference realignment and Pac-12 TV deal stuff has been fantastic.
