Every week, I'll take a look at the Pac-12's teams and modeling Rivals' Tom Dienhart's weekly awards, I'll hand out awards specific to the Pac-12. So who's on top of the world and who's dwelling in the cellar this week?

CU has historically been a much better team at home

All week the stories were about how they remembered last year’s drubbing and how they knew what exactly they needed to improve on from the Hawaii game. For the most part, they met their goals (except for winning), but ultimately shot themselves in the foot by failing on red zone chances and penalties. I expected them to improve their play from last week, and they did.

And since I’m pretty sure some Ute fans are wondering why the Holy War isn’t listed here, both teams lost this weekend, the game won’t really effect the Pac-12’s image or strength, both teams aren’t as good a they have been in the past, and really, there are just better games featuring conference teams this week. Most other weeks, the BYU game could have been the highlight game of the week.
