2008 Big Game Program: Bears Deny Stanford Bowl Bid
Needing a win to become bowl eligible, Stanford couldn't get it done in Berkeley. The Bears outscored the Cardinal 20-0 in the third quarter to pull away for a 37-16 win. Stanford had its opportunities in the first half, but the Cardinal came up short on a couple of trips inside the red zone. One long drive ended in a missed field goal and another ended in a fumble. Jahvid Best led the Bears with 201 yards on 19 carries.

I really want to thank you for having provided access to this beautiful collection of Big Game programs
As a special collections librarian, who also happens to be a twisted soul that cheers for both Cal and Stanford, this collection is a little gem.

First BG I attended after 6 years on the East Coast
I had a lot hope going into the game, but Toby and crew were just not up to the challenge. The game was better than the score.
was sitting with Wopomo Osaisai’s family. After he was injured, we went to visit him after the game, and Harbaugh was already there, just minutes after the game ended. Say what you want about Harbaugh, but the guy puts his players first. He knew the player who needed him most was the senior CB whose chance at the NFL may have just gone up in smoke (I don’t think he’s stuck with a team yet.)
